There is actually only 2 active users. Thegypsysailor, and some other guy with a LOT of troll accounts
I saw two posts similar to this. One was 5 years ago and the other one was 6 months ago.
5 years ago there was nearly 800 users who voted.
6 months ago the tally was just below 100.
My user number is over 160,000 and I am fairly new here.
So the statistics leads one to believe that very few users stay here. Most just come out of curiosity, get what they need, pass by.
I don't really think there is that many regulars. Then you have to factor in all the alts. Who knows. I do wish there was more active regulars.
Don't forget all the Alts. Many users have several alternate accounts. Sometimes users will practice playwrighting by using two or three characters to create dramatic tension in a post. For example, I am anti-Catholic. There is no drama without passionate objections to my positions.
It's hard to tell with all the Lurkers. About 80 to 120 maybe more with registered accounts that visit daily total but about 20 users whom comment daily perhaps less
The actual community seems really small to me. I don't acknowledge lurkers who just pass by and read a few posts. I only would acknowledge the community that regularly post comments on here. 20 sounds about right.
Lot of regulars drop off for months at a time, too much spamming going on here lately. Fake post, over reporting (I've seen post removed for like no reason at all like oh life is hard and I just need support), heavy-trolling. And the gang mentality shit is why I don't post every day.
the population of Is it normal seems to be holding steady with around a few thousand posters. Keep in mind that its likely that there are tens of thousands who use the site daily but don't have profiles. I read posts for about 2 years until i finally made an account, i can assume it may be the same for most people before they get used to it.
In a few years i can see the site doubling in size at least, its still new to a lot of people. Also whats with all the gypsysailor accounts?
