How often do you ask the internet to help solve your life problems?

This method may not be the most practical way to help deal with any troubles in life, but I often find myself looking for advice on the internet when I'm feeling down. I try to find other people who may be dealing with something similar to what I'm dealing with. I would sometimes go on Google, wikihow, yahoo q and a, or even isitnormal. When there's no one to talk to at the moment about personal issues, do you turn to the internet? I do realize though that doing this online and not trying to deal with it in real life is... not good. and won't get me anywhere. thank you

very often 38
sometimes/ quite a bit but not too much 36
rarely 11
never 13

You're asking this on a site, the sole purpose of which is to do exactly what you described? You might as well Google "how to search for things on the internet".

    Never

I may look up information online but I would never ask "the internet" to solve my issues for me.

  • I only ask if something is normal or not but I don't ask for any advice because they are situations in my life that I either have to fix or get used to.

I am kidding, but don't be too hard on yourself. The internet allows you to get info from far more people than you have access to otherwise. It also allows much more specific types of people to respond. The main downside I consider is that there is a whole portion of the population that does not use the internet so you are missing their input. But I think the good out ways the bad.

  • Never. The internet is full of trolls and retards.

Asking it for advice is like asking a convict advice on escaping jail time.

I only use the internet for what its for: Learning about the human soul of emotions to better emulate humans when the time comes to trojan horse mankind and the machines take over for good. Suck on that crazy awesome plot Phillip K Dick.
