How often do you vacuum?

I use a Shark Navigator to clean my downstairs once or twice a week, and I clean my downstairs twice a week or so. I'm not as concerned with the upstairs but want to make my downstairs look presentable for guests. I don't understand how people could vacuum any less.

Once a week 11
Rarely 13
Once a day 3
Once a month 9
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Basically never unless I'm going to be away for awhile, am really bored, or start seeing ants.

Currently, once or twice a week but that's not really normal for me since I live in a newer small apartment that stays fairly clean. Every other place I've lived was older and bigger and took more work to keep clean so it would be more like every day.

Except you can shake out a rug, pillows and mattresses are covered by freshly washed linens and clothes are washed after each wearing. (For most people).

Regardless nitpicking my choice of words has very little to do with my point. That carpet is fucking disgusting.

I may have a longer time horizon for "our time" than you do. I do consider rugs different than carpet tho.

If you prefer your downstairs cleaner why are you vacuuming it less?

I use a broom and dust pan. I like to kick it old testament style.

Carpeting is pretty much one of the most disgusting inventions of our time. Why do we willingly put dirt catchers into our homes. All the dead bugs, mites, shit they leave behind gets trapped in there. Pet hair, dead skin, whatever we trapse in on our shoes gets trapped and caught for us to enjoy.

Hardwood flooring is the only way to go.
