Kids should not start living the "grownups" life so early. it screws them over. 12 and on a date...? It sounds so unnatural.
Depends on their maturity level but at least 16 I think. Personally though I have a huge fear of my kids being 16 and pregnant. I wonder if Teen mom has helped that fear.
I may be of a minority who think this, but if by dating you jut mean going to the cinema and having a peck afterwards I see nothing wrong with that if you're 14. I agree that at that age any more than that is a bit weird.
I thought I was ready to date in middle school, but now at 18, 12 year olds are babies! Dating with a true committed relationship (with sexual activity) at least 18, but I'm not ready for sex. All other dating- getting to know your type, just dating a crush, etc- high school.
I think 16 is the right age. Its when you start to drive and you a given responsibility. I see so many kids on facebook at like 13-14 after 2 weeks of dating and saying I love you so much and they even change their last name to the guys last name. Its like come on are you serious.
not untill there ready to get married. keep your mind off boys/girls and stay focused on friendships and academics, and whatever hobbies they are interested in.
I'd say 16 or 17 is a normal age for dating, tho I myself did not do much of that till I was amost out of my 20s. Yeah, my life sorta sucked. Still does sometimes.
At age 12. I dated a guy when I was 12, 7th grade :) and I had my first kiss which was AWESOME
12? i'm 15 and still haven't dated anyone, or had my first kiss for that matter.
I had my first boyfriend when I was 11. It was completely innocent EXCEPT for that I had to hide it from my parents. I say as long as the kid is honest w his/her parents, let him/her date whenever; the person will do whatever s/he is ready for. And if something goes wrong, that kid feel safe coming to the parents for help or guidance.
wow so many people said 12. The idea of that being a good idea is bizarre to me. I think 16, but that's also not the reality of what's actually happen, but it's what I think the reality should be :P
15 or 16. By that time they have most likely hit puberty and fully can understand relationships.
As long as they be wearin dem condoms and shit whats da prob?
You get dem preggers then yall be stoopid yo.
I don't think a guy should date until he can pay for it with money he has earned himself.
16 almost 17 because yu are really grown up and get what life is about.but you shouldn't have sex until after you are 18 or you know they are special.
At my school there is a couple who started dating when they were both 13 and they're still together almost 2 years later
My first gf was 13 and I was 15 but she told me she was 14. She thought I would reject her if I knoew she was 13. She turned 14 about 2 months into the relationship. We dated for a year and had sex about once a month. No problems.
to me it depends on what kind of date you mean. a school dance younger than 16 i can see, but a real date no and i know women will hate this, but it depends on the sex. if it's a boy 15 i think but a daughter 17. may not be fair but it's reality.
I would say when they hit puberty which is usually between 11-13 anything before that probobly not. I know that I had a crush when I was 11 but it was against the rules to date in my house. So I felt horrible for having these feelings. Long as they are not going to second base shirtless and everything.
No reason why they can't date when they're twelve. What's the harm of them going to the cinema or whatever?
I'd say anywhere from 14-16 would be fine it depends on you maturity level aswell.
Kids are biologically adults when they become fertile (about 11:13 for girls:boys). You may have concerns, but don't say it's not _natural_.
I don't think that there is any certain age. If they "Couple" wants to be together ket them be happy.
Its ovibious if they aren't very old it won't go far so why stop it?
Toddlers can go on a "date" which can consist of their respective parents taking them, together, to an ice cream parlor for one of their birthdays. If you are asking about making out or sexual activity, you should specify this.
