Hey.
So while this might not really be a regular question, I thought I would ask here anyways since Google doesn't appear to be any help.
I just wanted to ask how to downvote a comment? I've noticed a few comments with negative scores, but I appear to only be able to upvote. I tried looking up how to, but everything shows up for either Youtube or (of course) Reddit.

I don't have a downvote button either and I've been here for a decade. I used to have it but I didn't use it when I did because I'm not a little bitch that uses a voting system to disagree from a distance to ensure I'm not accountable for why disapproving opinions like some Karen on Facebook with the laugh react option.
Lol, you hit the nail on the head there! Though I don't really care about downvotes/laugh reacts, I always think it would be nice if people could explain WHY they disagree. There are some things I've seen downvoted that I would be genuinely interested to hear the opposing side of.
I used to be able to downvote about a year ago but then the option for it (the thumbs down icon on people's comments) disappeared.
I’ve not got a good enough reputation to be worthy of the thumbs down button either
I only got one or two on a now deleted comment. It would seem odd to me if the ability to downvote a comment was revoked because of that
I would guess build good karma since I never had a 👎 when I made this account (though I did in my old one) but if that's the case then how much does one need? I have top Comment on about 20 different posts & still don't have one.
uh if you mean this website, everyone should have a downvote button, that's kind of strange
I lost mine when I apparently downvoted too many times which is weird. Since I dont spam dislikes.
I believe for some people they have the downvote option, others don't.
I've noticed that some of my upvotes don't stay after I've refreshed the page. Super frustrating because I like giving upvotes!
Per some previous post on this subject I understand that the administrator of this site can remove the voting buttons of people who behave badly (however they interpret "badly").
You may wish to message them and ask about this issue.
After magically being nice for X amount of time here, admin_bot finally allows you to be mean.
You need to be a member for long enough and you need enough karma. The administration can also take away your downvote button anytime they like it.
