How to stay healthy if you have a fast metabolism, iin?

I'm the same person who wrote the post about having growth spurts in a short period of time.

I've always been very thin, and have always had a very fast metabolism all due to genetics. My weight wasn't that much of a big deal when I was shorter but now that I'm growing taller, I'm worried that my weight will become more of a problem and cause health issues.

I eat as healthy as I can and I take vitamins but, I feel like I'm not getting enough nutrients.

So, I was wondering if anyone on here has good advice on how to stay healthy if you have a fast metabolism. I've tried looking elsewhere online but, I've never been able to find quite what I've been looking for. IIN?

-Thanks.

My first piece of advice is to consult a physician to make sure you are actually underweight and/or malnourished.

If that ends up being the case, I would suggest eating slightly beyond satiation to stretch the stomach (if you're not eating enough). You might also benefit from a protein shake.

This may seem counterintuitive, but exercise. Do minimal cardio (5 mins for a warmup, then 15 mins at the end of your workout), and focus on lifting. This will naturally make you hungrier and you'll begin to gain weight (hopefully most of which will be muscle!).

Increase your caloric intake. That doesn't mean indulging in cake and fastfood. Go for foods that have nutritional value, just look at a food pyramid to get an idea of meals you could make. Snack and eat throughout the day.
