How would you feel about posters if you were themanagement?

This isn't a story about TheManagement. It's about you. You create a site from scratch. People are drawn to it. People use your site and a community arises. If the community was as it is, how would you feel?

I'd like that my idea drew people in. 24
I'd feel some sort of custodianship over the community I created. 11
I'd be horrified to see how people use my site. 3
I'd stay in the background and just be thankful people use this. 15

    if i was the management i dont know how id feel, proud, satisified amused. not sure. But i agree that people can take things for granted and i am glad that this site is here, it can be fun

    I would make sure it gets used the way it was intended to be used. If anyone started avoiding the point of the website they would get a warning and if the same person does it again they will be blocked from the site.

    I'd just be glad people like my site.
    I disagree with ItDuz, if people built upon my orginal idea then that's fine. If they enjoy the site, that'd great.

    First of all, the purpose of a forum is to "draw people in". Why else build one? If I had a forum, I would be thinking about creating something as popular as Facebook, eventually.

    But, backing up...if I had the skills to create a forum from scratch, whatever transpired on my forum would not be "an accident" or something that I would be stressing about how to control. I would design the site so that I would be able to control and oversee every bit of minutae about it (I would be "God" as far as my site were concerned). If freaks are coming to my site, I am pitching to freaks or I am not choosing to control those demographics on purpose in order to generate a lot of traffic to and interest in my site.

      I was thinking more about how each of us would feel if we were TheManagement. Naturally, the idea is to bring people in. It was more about how each of us would feel about the community created. Although I didn't include it in the poll my answer would be "all of the above".

      While I'm on the subject, it's very easy to take things for granted. Websites included. But the only reason any of this community know anyone else in this community is because of a thought that passed through the head of the site owners however many years ago. I think it's quite exciting to be responsible for something like that.
