Pretty bad, generally... I cried a lot, which didn't do much for my reputation or social standing! As such, I got bullied daily, which increased the tears, etc. I'm British, so really I'm talking about middle school + early high school. By the time I was 16-18, I'd got a bit of confidence and some close friends and things were much better. But age 12-14 in particular was wretched. I also worked waaaaaaaaay too hard for several reasons and, while I got good grades, I now wish I had enjoyed more of my childhood, frankly.

High school was a complete waste of time. I learned two useful skills: typing and algebra. Algebra was taught at such stupid level that I merely read the book to learn it. To pass the time, I creatively pursued inventing paramilitary technologies and reading sniper manuals to acquire police evasion skills. A stifling time indeed. College couldn't come soon enough.

It certainly wasn't the highlight of my life. Spent as little time in class as I could get away with. But we did build a 27' sailboat in wood shop (as well as some other, smaller boats), so that was career specific for me.
I worked as a commercial fisherman (deadliest catch), so I wasn't a very good "sportsman" when it came to sports. I do not learn well in that environment, but do better with the experiential learning process.

I had fall outs with teachers who I believed weren't doing their job properly. I think fondly of this as me standing my ground which helped me a lot to be assertive in future. Even though I didn't hit it off with authority (you're a suck-up if you do), I had a good academic record and made some good friends. Still remember emotional scars from bullies though and I wasn't good at sport.

I enjoy learning as somewhat of a hobby. High school is a free opportunity to dabble in a number of subjects. I won't say I enjoyed people at HS (Teachers and students alike), but the goal of HS and opportunities in it were very good to me.

I still have nightmares about it, that I never really graduated. Last day of 12th grade was the best part of my life so far, biggest relief, I said my goodbyes in about 5 minutes and I was gone and I hope to never see any of those people again, haha...

No good, I was bullied and put down a lot, it made me insecure, but I made some good friends, and I was sad to leave them. But I did hate it urgh!

I remember one teacher handed me a kettle and said can you go and fill that up with water from the girls toilets... not actually the toilet but the taps.. I was like wow.
