Humans and dinosaurs, did they live at the same time?

I looked this up and the most common arguments I read are that human footprints have been found near dinosaur footprints, or that ancient man-made sculptures of 'dinosaurs' have been found.
There's are many creationist museums about it, most of them are in the US.
There's a picture in Wikipedia 'Creation Museum' where you see a "vegetarian Tyrannosaurus" coexisting peacefully with a human, I thought it looks pretty funny.
Do you believed humans and dinosaurs walked the Earth at the same time?

Yes. 15

They did not live at the same time. Dinosaurs died out about 65.5 million years ago. Humans have only been around for about 200,000 years.

No, I don't, but I do believe I could find a dinosaur footprint, make my own footprint next to it and pretend that the dinosaur was obviously beside me at the time because they're both footprints.

Time is obviously subservient to indentations in mud. :)

I think they still do 0.o

There is a lot of art that portrays a dragon-like creature in many different cultures.Someone must have seen something. In the past, we have realistic (though simplified) human figures, animals, trees, plants and rivers flanking the walls of ancient pyramids, temples and caves and - what the hell - aliens, human cats and dragons!? Either we as a species have always been partial to drugs or there is a world within our past that we are yet to know anything about.

I think that us humans are just imaginative. We like to draw things from nature, but we will draw stuff that pops up in our imagination too.

But the strange thing is that some of these images appear simultaneously in cultures separated by hundreds of miles, sometimes thousands. The dragon image, especially. One culture (i forget which one...minoans maybe) highly esteemed the bull, the lion and the dragon. One of those things just does not belong with the others,ya know? But you're right, we are a creative species and much of our past can be explained by that, i'm sure.

The thing about the dragon being invented by many different cultures can be explained. I think that it's because each of these cultures combined things that we are universally afraid of into one creature, which really isn't that much of a crazy coincedence because us humans like to imagine things that scare us. Humans are universally afraid of fire, the scales and the dragon's long neck make it appear snake-like, the dragon's claws and sharp teeth remind us of predators and the fact that they are big and can fly means they can pick us off easier.

So I don't believe dragons ever existed. It's just the result of universal fears being combined togethor in several different cultures.

They do. Dinosaurs didn't die out, they just got smaller. I have some some dinosaur chili cooking in the crock pot right now.

I do want to believe they did live at the same time. The theory that the earth is over some trillion years old seems too strange to me. It is only a "theory" afterall. haha I believe its younger than that. The fact that there were human foot prints next to dinosaur fossils is something that doesn't surprise me either. Creation is something I believe in, and dinosaurs I believe existed as well - right next to humans at some point of our existence. =) Yeah yeah.

Trillion? Dude, the universe isn't even a trillion years old. The universe is approx. 13 billion years old, and Earth is 4 billion years old. That, and dinosaurs died out 65.5 million years before humans developed.

I definetly did not know people believed this. I thought everyone was taught that dinosaurs did not live at the same time people did.

  • I saw a crocodile at the zoo, so yes.

I also made a heap of wooping noises at the hyenas and they went crazy!!! They were not impressed for some reason.
