So, im working through my sex addiction, and its day 5 of not masturbating and i didnt realize how dependant i was on it. Holy shit, like... im restless and keep having to do something to keep busy but i cant do anything unhealthy so im forced to be a functioning human and it makes me uncomfortable but hopeful at the same time.
You might want to limit yourself instead of stopping completely. I think masturbation can be an okay thing to do if not over used, but maybe try and see if you can do it just once a week or something?
I can see you crashing and burning doing this and going back to your old ways because it's just too hard to do. Good luck though I hope however you try and cut down works out well for you :)
Some 2 years ago I was doing it once or twice a month at most. Along with other things, such as limiting sugar intake, It helped a lot in boosting my concentration.
The downside is you can very easily go harsh on yourself by setting unrealistic expectations. When I slipped, I blamed myself mercilessly. I gave up on my discipline as a result.
Only last week did I recall these details, and I just started trying to pick myself up.
