I actually look forward to marketing companies collecting my data
As long as my private information (i.e. Name, address, SSN, account numbers/PWs, etc.) are kept safe, I actually look forward to marketing companies collecting my Data and analyzing it. By "Data", I mean stuff like the following:
- My age, gender, race, income, education level, etc.
- What car I drive.
- What industry I work in.
- What movies or TV shows I like to watch.
- What places I like to travel to.
- What types of products I bought recently.
- etc.
I'm a bit different that the mainstream American consumer in that I'm an immigrant (immigrated here in the 90s), am better educated than average, like to travel, don't care about the latest trends in most things except electronics, spend a lot of time online, watch more Youtube videos than TV, etc. It seems most products and services out there are not marketed to people like me and maybe I'm a bit idealistic but sharing as much information about me to the Marketing companies as possible might help move one step closer to solving this problem.
