I loved him for ever in the beginning; but now he is just way too into himself.
I understand his popularity is waning as the Covid19 is dying in the States as everyone is getting vaccinated or inoculated from exposure.
I would be happy to see him go, he was okay but more often than not contradictory.
I never understood why people even listen to this dude after he told the world masks don't work. If you kept a record of everything he said he was literally wrong almost every single time on everything. What fuckin disease specialist says masks dont work? I learned they worked in 2nd grade. And his supporters say "he lied to keep the masks for the medical professionals" and if thats true thats even worse that hes a liar than him just being grossly incompetent. After that mask fiasco he shoulda been totally discredited. Not to mention him saying we shouldnt worry about it we shouldnt close trade from china, it cant be passed from human to human. Dudes an idiot.
He let his polictical views infect his science.
This is the problem with pat phrase "follow science". If the scientists have strong political views they allow it to guide their scientific results.
Fauci and the WHO were and are influenced by their political alignment and money.
I lost trust in him as soon as he said that New York was doing a good job. New york only did well when they killed off all those who were at risk. Which is not a good performance.
Every time I saw him he had this look on his face like "alright Tony, you're on TV, millions are looking to YOU for answers" but he's also supposed to be an expert so I don't know how I feel about that
