I am deeply terrified of this one groin lymph node
Back in the beginning of October, I had a cold that lasted 7-10 days only, and of course, lymph nodes do swell when a person has a cold and they will swell for a while after the cold is over. However, usually they swell for just 4 weeks after the cold is over, and my lymph node still swells even though it's been more than 2 months since my cold ended.
The lymph node that swells is in the groin, and it's only 1 lymph node. It doesn't grow though, but it certainly is a bit darker than my skin shade. It's like as dark as a bruise so light you almost can't see it.
I am sure going to the doctor but I am honestly so scared and I'm scared that the doctor will tell me horrible news because what else can cause lymph nodes to be darkish and swell for longer than 4 weeks after a cold has ended? I just hope that it's just some infection that can be cured or like some one-symptom case of COVID19 and not something devastating such as cancer. I don't even know what is it that I would have done in order to get cancer.
This lymph node started swelling during the cold I had in October. And yes, my groin lymph node swells sometimes when I have the cold. I also had a cold in November 2019 and that time the lymph node was swollen and also after the cold of November 2019 but then it stopped swelling.
