I am interested about the technology shift.

For some reason people say I am not normal but I disagree. For example, when I go to the gas with my friends, I stop to take a glance upon a bill payment machine. The machine has a TOUCHSCREEN! So, I'm tripping out over the fact that there is a real-live touch screen in front of me. I ask them the question, "Isn't this absolutely fascinating that we have such advanced technology in this time?" but they only respond with an answer like, "Who the hell cares?". Hence, this is why I am confounded.

It appears as though they cannot grasp the fact that there is a discrete technology trends that gradually and silently enhance the quality of our everyday lives. It is as though the future is sneaking up behind me, I remember the days back in 1997 when I had my old Nintendo and things like Ipods, HD flat-screens; Xbox 360, Playstation3; terabyte hard-drives and cheap touchscreens were not commonplace. The times have really changed, but why does everybody take this technology for granted?

Am I normal?

    You are asking a gas station attendant about technological advancements and how they are implemented in common items, and wonder why they don't grasp the significance?

    Mabey 5 or 6 years ago a touch screen might have been exciting but now, not so much. Sorry

    I get it. Every once in awhile i share this feeling for other things as well. anyways about touch screens i remmeber when i was young touch screens were such a big deal and rare. as you said now they're everyone even at the freaking gas station. even my phone in my pocket which i throw around and got wet and treat like any other phone, is a massive touch screen. next it'll be motion control everywhere..
