I am obsessed with rodents

I Started collecting rodents about two years ago i am 13 i dont have any friends and i am starting to see my guineapigs hamsters rats mice ferrets and gerbils as my best friends and sometimes i even talk to them i really need help the only reason i started collecting is because my uncle died and then i became a hermit i stayed inside all the time doing nothing but talk and play with my pets and i am now spending about 2k a year on pets and i just really want to know if this is some sort of depression post depression or am i just crazy PLS HELP!

    Clearly not a healthy choice physical or mentally ,A medical doctor is the first step.<><>< your only 13 where your parents? either way I'm sorry man but you extremely need to inform a adult of this issue and truly let them know how your feeling and that you want help.

    I own two rats, and they are the most beautiful and sweetest creatures! I got them after my parents got divorced because I felt super depressed and lonely and they do make me feel better. BUT I think if your pets are becoming your best friends, you do have a slight problem. You are using them as an emotional crutch. I think you need to spend a little more time with humans.

    Some people claim that having pets actually reduces stress and helps with depression. I think you're just lonely... cut down on the pets though, they're hard to manage well, I should know.
