I bathe my cat with barbecue sauce

I hear bathing your cat with barbecue sauce is good for their fur so I had to try it! She liked it and licked the sauce off my fingers. Her fur got sticky but after a good rinse it was so soft and fluffy!

Is it normal barbecue sauce made my cats fur soft?

BBQ sauce is made for bbq. Is it proven? It might have some side effects on the cat. Use the appropriate soap or shampoo for cats, its better...

Cool Ill try it out and ignore the mean comments some people act like they know every thing and that one wrong little thing will kill the cat! Haha well I hope u best luck on your kitties fur and if she likes it that's totally cool but if you do see something wrong maybe not to do it again but what ever sounds cool though! What kind did you use?

Just buy her some natural cat shampoo. She shouldn't be licking that stuff anyway.

No, why would you do that? That isn't right. Even baby shampoo is a better alternative to pet shampoo than BQ sauce. I just hope the cat's skin won't get irritated and you won't mistaken your cat for food.

There are probably active ingredients in the sauce that helped soften the hair.
However I would watch out for skin irritation, it seems like the spices in the sauce could irritate sensetive kitty skin.

NO !! Cats don't like to be bathed but if they need it use cat shampoo as they have very sensitive skin !!
