See theres a theory that the universe doesnt exsist and everything you are experiencing has just been uploaded into your brain for the last 1 second of your unknown existence....
Or that you are just asleep since your body and brain need to catalog the days injuries and experiences.
I aint heard that last one but I heard somethin like that first one on a uTube channel with a guy who got a speech impediment like elmer fudd. I thought he had an accent at first but he said impediment. Hes really smart though so I wish he would talk about viruses and politics and shut up snowflakes but he always talks about aliens and space exploration and trippy stuff 2 make u think.
When my wife is pissin me off sometimes I mix a little kratom and cough medicine and zone out 2 his channel cuz it mostly goes over my head anyway like it would anyone. That mix is one of the few good things I ever learned from islam btw but thats beside the point
Anyway this guy was sayin that the universe does exsist but that u got no way 2 know if u rly been exsistin this whole time or if only a moment ago particles randomly collided 2 form a brain in a jar with ur memories or somethin like that. I think he called it the bolts man brain or somethin like that
My favourite version of that ‘theory’ is last thursdayism purely because of how stupid the name is. Might not be right to call it a theory tho, I don’t think anyone actually believes last thursdayism, it’s more just a way to dunk on creationism lmao.
Here's a cool theory. The one electron theory...
That's it theres only one electron in the entire universe but since its zigzagging through time it appears like it's in different places at the same time.
On the extreme end of theoretical physics or quantum something but still makes somewhat sense. Kinda fucks with reality and how would electricity and magnets work but idk.
Perhaps one day I will die in my sleep, but until that day comes I'm stuck here on this particular plane of existence, and ya'll are stuck with me. If an animal eats my eyeballs after I die please don't be mad at the animal.
So how do you explain dreams, sleepwalking, breathing, involuntary movements, REM, etc. in sleep?
It's a cool theory but no you're just temporarily dead. Honestly that's what dying probably feels like; few seconds of memories before complete darkness.
Maybe more like a near death experience when we go to sleep. Our body temperature drops, our heart rate slows down, and our minds are somewhat gone right before falling asleep. A dead person wouldn't be able to roll around in his or her bed.
