I bite my dog and cat

Ok so like when my cat or dog come near me I scoop them up and bite their tail. Sometimes I will bite my cat so hard he will meow or my dog will bark. I don't know y I do it and I kinda feel sorry for them but I just can't stop. The feel of their fur under their teeth is just a great feeling. Is this normal???

  • Can I bite you on the arm until you yelp out?

...I thought not, so stop abusing poor animals for whatever sick insecurities you have.

You should bite them only if they bite. Teach them who's that master! Hahhaha!

I bite one of my dogs all the time on the neck and cheeks. She knows I love her more than any possessions or anything else, and sometimes we will just be there biting on each other. What a bunch of normies freaking out. Guess what people? WE ARE ANIMALS.

What the hell is wrong with you! You should not own a dog or a cat if you are going to bite them. Shame on you!

It could be animal instinct, Humans have an egotistical belief that they are truely better than all other creatures which they often try to portrait as "compassion", but in the animal world. Its kill or be killed. Maybe you biting your pets is not exactly the "humane" approach to keeping a pet and maybe you shouldn't own pets. But if you look at different tribes of the world they have many different customs that many people probably wouldn't approve of. Such as native americans used to cut out the buffalo heart while its still alive and eat it in those few seconds its still beating or in Brazil some tribes as a right of passage, they have young men do crazy things. Like let those giant scary ants crawl on them and bite their skin for a certain amount of time and stuff like that. But they developed these customs because they know that its a do or die world and we just don't have that anymore. Its not like the native americans were cruel about it, they didn't kill what htey didn't need and they used it all. This probably doesn't have anything to do with you biting your pets, but maybe in a weird way its you showing them your dominence. But maybe it would nice for them if you stopped biting them.

I hope they bite or scratch your eyes out. Or an animal lover shoots you. You deserve both.

I think OP is trolling, a dog isn't likely to bark from pain. It will yelp or more likely if it feels threatened it will turn around and nip/bite its attacker.

People, Please just answer the question without any reactions. Isn't it obvious that this person is questioning the act and wants a second opinion or clarity? That's the reason he/she raised the question in the first place.

    For the person asking:
I don’t have cats so most of my ref will be dogs. Your act sounds like obsessive behavior. You said Feel of fur under teeth is a great feel. Fuse that with other sensory controls like smell of the pet fused with expectation of the outcome(doggy yelp, cat meow etc.)could be the trigger point for you. If you observe yourself slowly you might find more than just fur attracting you. All these things create the ritual, which take you to the trigger point where the line of normal or abnormal fades. If you have been doing this for quite a while there are chances that you have developed a compulsion...so by that logic it might just be a mild form of OCD. Nothing to get alarmed about...its not a big deal...we all are Obsessive about something or the other.....or for that matter obsessive and compulsive about many things. But if your act is harming you or others in some way then you want to talk to your doctor. Identifying the ritual and stopping before trigger point will help a lot.
In general, biting the pet might not be the most normal behavior given that there are hygiene and health issues like lime disease which comes from ticks...btw frontline doesn't stop deer ticks...in case you think you're safe after monthly frontline.
From your dog’s point of view he/she is looking for a pack leader in you and leader has to be in control. Your act show to the dog that you’re not in control…leaders don’t bite without any reason. BTW, that doesn’t entitle you to bite the dog if he peed on the carpet. A simple nudge can create the same impact…as long as you don’t attach a lot of fluctuating emotions with the nudge. Logically, when the leader is not in control the dog will naturally try to take control....since someone has to be the pack leader. Read and/or & watch Ceaser Milan’s Calm & Assertive pack leader. You bite can weaken your relationship with your pet overtime.

    All the best.
