I can't stand led christmas lights. am i alone?

I can't stand the way LED Christmas lights look. They look "cold", and they have a barely perceptible flicker I find quite irritating. I guess the white ones are tolerable. They look like ice which isn't bad for some uses, but they're certainly not cheery. The colored ones though, Eeechh! They look look sinister, alien mockeries of proper Christmas lights to me.

    They're tacky, but I kind of love the blue ones. I want to eat them.

    I had red, orange and yellow ones that fade in and out to a certain pattern. I liked them so much that I decorated my bedroom with them and used them as room lighting instead of the overhead light. Was fine until my neighbour said they'd almost phoned the fire brigade because, from their garden, they thought my room was on fire.

    I do know what you mean, though. When I was a kid, we had proper bulbs and it seemed better somehow.

    Ha ha, I know what you're saying. I don't think they're as festive because they're not very 'warm'. Also, those ones that you can't focus on properly get on my nerves! I think they're LED.
