I can't watch ghost movies

So the thing is I can’t watch any movies with ghosts in them especially those with religious overtones. It all goes back to my grandmother (who was extremely religious) who when I was little told me that watching those type of things will bring in the devil and mess with my soul. I remember when I was a kid I couldn’t even watch trailers without getting freaked out and to this day if I try to watch one I get anxious and scared so I was wondering is this normal?
