I don't fart anymore

For the past six months I've almost completely stopped passing gas. I don't think there's been any major change in my eating habits. I just hardly ever fart anymore. I used to fart frequently and on many different occasionas but not anymore. This saddens and depresses me. Am I the only one?

I have not farted in years. I have one fart in about 6 months. And believe me, I don't fart in my sleep. My husband thinks there is something wrong with me as he farts the average amount, and even though we eat the same foods, I don't fart. I have looked up to find out if it is okay not to fart, but don't come up with any info about it. Only info about when you fart to much. So, this guy is not lying. There is some of us that don't fart. Just wish someone could tell me if it is a concern or not?

I used to fart more for sure. I've noticed a definite decrease. But I think I have a strong gut. My dietary intake and eating habits have definitely improved in the last 6 years. Saturday morning I ate an entire head of cabbage fried in bacon grease for breakfast, not a single fart. Last night I ate 2 small heads of garlic sautéed with diced calf liver, no gas. REAL disappointed by that. Garlic has never failed me.
Milk is the major culprit in gas. More people are intolerant of lactose than they are aware. Still relatively little effect on me though. gas is caused (mostly) by the bacteria in your gut breaking down the food. Some foods cause more of a reaction in bacteria than others. The inability of your body to digest, break down and process that food item will cause the runs. Say, eating a head of raw kale.

I'm not sure why people on this page believe that you're lying. I used to fart more in my 20's when I was an athlete. I believe there are several factors contributing to virtual flatulance extinction. Diet behavior, exercise, positions lying down, digestive health, etc. I too enjoy farting, it relieves bloated feeling, and occasionally relish the looks on the face(s) of humans who have sadly forgotten the fact we are still homo sapient sapiens, in kingdom anamilia. It's natural.

I have found out that I am farting way way less. I had a stint with some abdominal problems which the quick care said it was Diverticulitis. They gave me a couple antibiotics and said to go on a liquid diet. So I did! Well I tell ya what, I didn't want to fart while on that liquid diet. I extended it to 4 days of liquid and believe me I used the bathroom a lot! I was scared to sneeze!! Long story short, I have noticed that I do not fart anymore. I don't know if it is due to one of the antibiotics that is for bacteria but I just don't fart anymore! And I was a total horn blower and proud of it. I have been back on solid foods for about a week and have been trying to eat healthier and I just don't know why I don't fart anymore. I read that you are supposed to fart about 20 times a day, but many people fart while sleeping. Maybe that's when I am farting. Don't know, but my wife is happier! I burp though throughout the day. That is new for me also, its like a complete reversal! Anyhow that is my story. Does anyone know why?

Dude didn't say he doesn't fart at all anymore. Lmao. Idk why people are say he's a liar. I used to fart all the fucking time in my teens and early 20s. Now I rarely fart. I'm not holding them in or anything. People who fart a lot in their sleep are typically people who tend to hold them in more during the day. I'm not saying I don't fart in my sleep, I'm just saying that I doubt it happens with any more frequency than it does while in I'm awake. Trust me, farting is my jam. When I have to fart, I just let em fly. I fart MAYBE once a day. Sometimes not at all in a day. I used to fart like once every 15 minutes. And they were brutal AF!! Now, not only has the frequency dropped dramatically, but they don't really stink that bad either. Like... I can fart quietly in the car and my wife wouldn't notice. That's the other thing. My farts used to be super powerful and loud. Duration was impressive, too. Those were the farts of old. Now I'm lucky if my farts are even audible and they last about half a second. I can fuck way longer now, though. Like probably a good 20 minutes to a half hour of straight pumping. Foreplay and blowies and all that not included. I bet there's a connection.

If you used to pass gas a lot, it could have been your nerves. Or stress. And now maybe your not as stressed out anymore?

Eat some Humus and Tehina. There are places with specialty in amazing Humus and Tehina near me. The gas would come AND go.

Either you're lying since everyone farts... or you're farting in your sleep.

Are you having bowel movements? I tend to have little to no gas of I've been cleaned out and am going regularly. If I I'm constipated (depends on the severity), I tend to have a ton of gas. Sometimes, it smells really bad. Or, it's odourless.
