I don't know what to title this

I cannot stand my genitals. I get so irritated thinking about it, and it's driving me nuts. It gives me anxiety. I hate even having to wash down there because I need to look at it. If only they wouldn't lock you up at a fucking mental facility, I would try to get rid of it myself. Doctors get in the way of anything. Oh, and if I weren't such a coward and would grow some balls (no pun intended) and stop being afraid of the pain, getting rid of it wouldn't be such a problem. Getting rid of this garbage sounds lovely, but of course there has to be something that gets in my way.

Sounds like some kinda Body Dysmorphic disorder, self hared, and shame. There's alot of shame here!

I think you need immediate psychiatric help. I'm sorry you are having those feelins.

Shame! This individual is perfectly normal in our society since it's completely normal and ok to decide to unilaterally remove bits of your own body because you dislike it.

It's silly that people think that their body cant be changed. You can be whatever you want including being a constellation or a fox. The skys the limit.

    • I'm not transgender, I don't hate myself, and I have no reason to feel shameful. And no, I don't think I need psychiatric help. Besides, am I really gonna let someone control and have authority over me? I think not. I'm not having it.

It's not normal, or healthy to want to mutilate your body.

        • Sure, it's out of the norm, but I don't think I need psychiatric help because of it, neither does it mean i'm mentally ill.

            By definition you are.

            • Sorry, but I think not. Not liking my genitals does not make me mentally ill. I would just be better off without it. Why would anyone want to live with this filth?

Or... I throw this idea out there.

You do need medical help because disliking your own appendage to the point of removal is by definition a mental disorder.

    • No it isn't. Why is it that when something is out of the norm it automatically means the person is ill? Just because i'm passing society's expectations for what's "normal" doesn't make me mentally ill, mister. I don't need medical help just because something is unheard of.

DSM-06 classifies it as a mental disorder. This is why you have to go to a psychiatrist to treat it.

        • That doesn't make it one. There are a lot of things they say indicate someone has a mental illness, which guess what? they don't.

When you do something that only 0.1% of the population does it makes you abnormal. Especially since its self destructive.

        • That's just someone made up. They thought, "Hey! since someone does something that I, and the majority of people don't do, that means they're something wrong with them!". The majority of people have sex, a small percent of people don't (asexuals), does that mean they're abnormal too?

Just because it falls outside of the realm of normality, doesnt make them automatically mentally ill. Just when you want to sever an appendage from your own body does it cross the line into being a mental illness (body dysmorphia)

In my opinion (and a good chunk of IIN opinion) gender dysmorphia is a mental illness too.

Are you the same person who said they "can't stand" inner pussy lips?

I legit thought that was a guy who wrote that post, however this post is in a similar vein but seems to be from the perspective of a woman who says she "can't stand" the sight of her own vulva... I'm now questioning my own judgement.

Just wondering if both posters are the same person.
