I don't like 90s music

90s Music is all the rage right now, but I don't understand the hype. I think that's when music went downhill, especially during the later half with stuff such as nu-metal, boybands and bubblegum-pop.

I'm so happy, 'cause today I've found my friends
    They're in my head
I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you,
    We've broke our mirrors
Sunday morning, is every day for all I care,
    And I'm not scared
Light my candles, in a daze, 'cause I've found God.

I HATED late nineties boybands and rap-rock even when I was a pre-teen at the time. There WAS good music in the late nineties but it was a minority. The nineties are OVER-RATED. I liked the eighties and the two-thousands better.

    • Hopefully, this 90s-craze will decline in the upcoming decade. I'm so damn tired of it! The 80s craze of the 2000s was more understandable because the 80s were actually good.

You should hook up with the person who is obsessed with the 80's.

You might actually hit it off.

I'd say the early 90s were much better than the late 90s before everything became artificial.

To me, Aguilera, Brittany, NySync, were just as bad as today's music. I will give one person credit: Robin Scott. Yes, her lyrics were somewhat cheesy, but she sings well.

Music and art will die soon... you need boredom to develop creativity and generation Z is permanently locked to their phones with an endless supply of entertainment.

A point few admit, but Gen Z is way worse than Millennials when it comes to this. Or art can turn into their YouTube videos!

If you're trying to make it sound mean, try it like this: "I, umm, kinda have an...uhh, idea...umm...CHANGE THE FUCKING STATION YOU FUCKING MORON!!!!" Lol.

Ahhh, I was just trying to break the monotony of the seriousness of the situation.

I love it, but I guess it's subjective.

I'm a huge Mariah Carey and Selena fan, so maybe I'm biased for that era. I also love the cheesy pop from the decade, but I admit it's not music of lots of substance.

I still feel like it was better than the shit that's out this decade though. I don't know what today's kids see in their pop music (which I guess is what some older generations thought about us in the 90s)

It really is. I'm not into 80s music apart from the odd song

No kidding, many 80s songs can't get any cheesier than Mickey, Tarzan boy, Once in a lifetime, Don't you want me baby, Sledgehammer, half of Michael Jackson's songs, all of Weird Al Yankavitz songs, and numerous others.

Some later 90s music did suck, like that song Barbie girl, the Macarena, and the Spice girls, and boy bands like Backstreet boys and Nsync. Actually, the Macarena was kinda cool for just a short time, the rest of the shit I listed here always sucked.
