I don't like most females?

I've noticed as I get older, I've really grown to dislike the female gender. No, not all, just those who think they're entitled to everything. Why do GUYS have to pay? Why doesn't SHE open the door for HIM? Just because they have a vagina, they think they need to be treated like princesses for whatever reason. Not to mention the whole double standard thing! Why is it okay for a girl to slap/hit a guy just because she's pissed, but if a guy hits a girl, police get involved and all hell breaks loose. To make it even more odd, I'm female. Does anyone else feel this way?

I'm glad you realize its not all females. I do not fit any of this criteria. But I get annoyed at the ones you speak of.

      Me three.

Call me crazy, but I figure whoever gets to the door first and or is the least burdened can open the darn door.

By the way: you should know, that the rating of your post is this high for one reason, and one reason only: because you are female yourself.

A guy asking the same question would have been murdered here.

I'm with you OP and agree with charli, birdy and RoseIsabella. I am an older woman and it bugs the living shit out of me that women on the whole DO get preferential treatment over men.

I NEVER expected a guy to hold open the door for me, and yes if a woman hits a man first she should expect a hit back, it's only fair.

As far as the "little princesses" you referred to, I think that there should be a special reservation in hell for them with their girly squeaky voices (I'm a girl, I've got a vagina and you are so big and strong! UGH!!!!)

  • Meh, yes and no. Sadly our culture encourages the entitlement mentality in women and discourages men from not putting women first as if they're royalty, as if they're princessess. Luckily not all women do this but I still think too many do.

I don't think enough women will go against this for it to stop, it gives them bonuses in life. I think it would require men to just give the cold shoulder to women that act like you explained and give the ol' "Do it yourself" line. I've done it a few times and the faces they made was hilarious. Their face could only be described as the face you'd make if you realized God was a gay Mexican midget with an afro.

No it's not normal, because I don't think the "majority" of women are like this. Maybe you need to start paying attention to the other people who are around besides the annoying ones :T

My female friends and I are treated like that sometimes, but only because the guys around here are very polite (at least in that way) and we never expect or demand it

I didn't say a majority. Read it again.

"No, not all, just those who think they're entitled to everything."
I'm specifically talking about those who actually act like that.

Wanting to be treated like a princess does not equate "wanting to be entitled to everything". I LIKE being treated like a princess. I LIKE polite men who open the door and offer to do things for me. That does NOT mean I don't do the same in return or that I have to be a gruff, strong, stoic person in order to qualify as being human. I am a girl - 'girls' are not gruff and stoic, they are girly - and I want to be treated like one.

        And "most"="majority".

Feminism and expectations from "old-fashioned manners". I don't expect anyone to hold the door open for me. If I see someone, I'll try to hold the open for them without expecting anything in return. If someone holds the door open for me, I'll say "Thank You" and try to hold the door open for them.

If you wanted to be treated equally, I'm gonna treat you like an equal. If you want me to open the door for you and pay for all your shit, you better damn well get in that laundry room and knit me something delicious. (I hate those kinds of women too)

What if you don't want to be treated equally? I personally don't want to be treated 'like' a man, I'm 'not' a man and don't want to be one.

I work and buy gifts for him/pay my own bills, but I still expect him to pay for dinner and to hold open my door. I love old-fashioned gentility and fine manners, and being called "miss" or "ma'am".

What I find annoying is women like the OP who are judgmental against everyone who thinks differently from them.

I'm a woman as well and don't think I'm entitled to the things you've described. For example, I hold open the door for anyone, including men.
