I fear the concept of heaven

I don't really believe in heaven or hell but I can't help but fear if the religous nuts are right.

If heaven is real it will be horrible it would be like living in North Korea why because all you will do is sing praises to God day and night for eternity.

You have no free will because that wasn't gods original plan because a talking snake messed it up.

Hell sounds equally horrible because it's just endless torment.

It's like there is no option when you die on one had you have a cosmic despot who will just as quickly torture and say I love you while doing it.

Dose anyone else have this constant dread like I said I don't really believe in it but what if it is?

If it dose I think we are all fucked believers and non believers alike.

    It's called Ouranophobia in psychology, the fear of heaven. Hell of course, is supposed to be feared and one should despise going there, so we have no term for that. However, it'll be all right. If you're going to be blissful in heaven, it really means you're going to be blissful. Given that you're a theist, you should realise that your Creator knows you the best, right? So you're going to be happy, rest assured, more than happy, it can and would never be not better than earth, if you get me.

    And no, it wouldn't be boring with no variety except for angels stringing those instruments and singing in a choir for eternity.
    Have some sense. The Creator who created such a varied, beautiful and marvellous planet, would he create a boring heaven?!

      I understand were your coming from but it still dosent make me feel any better about the concept.

      I'm not religious or anything but I don't doubt the possibility of a higher power and that's what scares me.

      What if the Muslims are right and Allahs a thing that means all non Muslims are screwed what if the evangelical crowd is right agian screwed.

      The world we live in has many beauties but it also has many flaws humans being the main one.

      Political,national,ethnic or religous is a cause for massive divisions and it's beyond disheartening and these are only a few of the flaws.

      If God is real then he either dosent care about what gose on here or he is very sadistic.

    We are born we live and die just like all other critters on the planet. Only mankind is so egotistical to dream up a heaven and hell concept. We are probably the only animals that know life is not infinite. Other animals just live in the now. Today.

    I have the same thought. How can a place exist where everyone is blissful when everyone likes different things.

    So are you saying that there will be only state approved haircuts in Heaven, but God will cut his hair however he damn well pleases?

      The odds of you knowing something with 100% certainty is also approaching zero. No one knows anything other than the body goes into the ground and rots. Whether a spirit exists is unknown.
