I feel embarrassed to drink alcohol in front of relatives

Yesterday i was having dinner with my parents and all of sudden my father offered me to drink a beer. If they were not my parents i would accept but i feel really embarrassed and strange to drink in front of my relatives

    Why are you embarrassed to drink beer in front of your parents? That is rather odd. Do you tend to get shitfaced, and embarrass yourself as a habit normally when you drink beer, or alcohol in general?
