I feel i have a right to kill any animal that enters my yard

I am not sure if it's legal or not, but I really do feel any animal that trespasses is mine to do as I please. I leave birds and other wildlife alone, but cats are subject to execution and I have exercised this right three times over the last decade and a half. Dogs have never entered my yard because they respect boundaries.

You are assuming this is your yard in the first place. This doesn't apply to animals and they don't give a fuck.
As for you, if I'd ever see you kill a cat in front of me, you'd be eating with a straw right now.

I get what your saying totally.

But also think once upon a time where you live now was once "owned" by nature/animals and they didn't kill you.

If I witnessed someone like you I would probably burn your house down in the middle of the night while you slept.

My outside cat is the light of my life. I'm devastated to know you could be my neighbor.

Shouldn't keep your cat outside. Not only can your cat become pest by killing birds and other small animals in the area as well as being a nuisance by pooping in other people's yards your cat is also way more likely to get diseases, parasites, or even run over by a car. Pretty much every reason why people don't have outside dogs applies to cats. How would you feel if one day your cat came home with cuts and scrapes because it got attacked by another outdoor or stray cat?

Cats dont like being inside cats. The good thing about outdoor cats is they dont attack people like outdoor dogs.

What does that have to do with anything? My dog wouldn't hurt anybody I still wouldn't let her go out without me watching her. Cats are pets it is a pet owner's job to take care off that pet. Letting a cat free roam puts it at risk of being run over, getting hurt by strays or other "outdoor" cats, and increase it's likelihood of getting diseases.

Letting your child play outside also puts them at risk for being run over and hurt! But we let our children play outside because it's what they want. Cats want to go outside in the sun and chase butterflies and kill baby birds. Its what they want so to make em happy i let mine.

No we let children play outside without supervision because they can be taught common sense. You can teach a kid to look both ways before crossing the street, not to mess with strays, not to eat random stuff off the floor, or not to go into other people's yards. You can't teach a cat these things.

Just because a pet wants to do something doesn't mean it should.

My cats never minded. Even if my current cat has access to outdoors he doesnt even want to go out. Knows he has it damn good.

Exactly. I was charged by a neighbor's pitbull while just taking a walk. Never had a cat do that once.

Thats a serious issue in my area. I live out in the country and people let their pitbulls run wild. Even if the dog doesnt attack you it scares the fuck out of you when it runs up with its ears perked up and tail up.

There's one dog up the street that runs wild and if it attacks my son one day I will walk up the street and shoot that dog with my shotgun in that mans front yard. Cant stand how he lets that vicious dog outside. He says he doesnt but the dog magically gets loose every other day.

Why are cats somehow seen as different than any other pet? It's a pet it should be kept inside unless you are either actively watching it, have it on a leash, or it's in a fenced off area. Cats aren't less likely to get run over by a car, get into fights with stray and/or other "outside" cats, or contract preventable diseases.

Right.. but you can't train outside cats to be indoor cats. He's a good boy. I'm honestly jealous of him. Being on the streets of the burbs getting loved on and fed by all the neighbors and then coming home to a warm blanket to knead and some kibble.

There is no difference between an outside cat and an indoor cat. You or whoever started letting it outside made it an outside cat essentially training it to be an outside cat. The cat got used to being let outside during the day. The cat didn't need that to happen and your cat would have been perfectly fine if it had been raised as an indoor cat.

The animals aren't sentient enough to know that it's trespassing. If a baby bites you then you don't punch it in the face because it's not really aware of what's going on, just like if a cat was to go into your backgarden it wouldn't understand that it's your property. Kill all the deer, and wild creatures you want, but not domesticated animals that just don't know what's going on.

I understand why you think it's right and proper, but unfortunately it's illegal. Try setting up a petition or something. Or just carry on doing it sneakily.

If my outdoor cat got killed by some sicko like you their house would be burnt down and they would be breathing with a ventilator. My bobby girl would never try to hurt you or your pet, and cats are generally very clean animals and very unlikely to shit in your yard. i feel as though your making an excuse to kill, you murderer.

Not normal at all. Its normal not to want other peoples pets in your yard but to consider killing them? Kind of a psycho way to think.
Most people like watching wildlife. Your post is disturbing cause people who look for a reason to kill something are generally pretty fucked up.

No, this is fucked up and seems to me like an excuse to hurt animals. Seriously, get some help.

The only time I'd kill an animal that came onto my property is if it was actively attacking/trying to kill me or my pets.
