I feel like a criminal

I'm not committing any crimes but every time I see the police I worry they're coming after me.

I was once picked up by the police who were convinced I was someone else. They kept saying "you're out on bail aren't you" but I'd never been arrested before.

A few weeks ago we went for a drive in the country, parked up, had a wander and then set off home. We passed a police van parked round the corner from where we were, on an empty country road. Soon as we passed it, it started following us all the way back to town. It had plenty of opportunities to go different ways but it followed us until we turned off towards mine. Didn't they have any actual crime to fight? The police appear at weird times in weird places.

I think they think I'm some crim and it's making me feel like one.

Totally. Just seeing them gets me alerted, cause they always pull some nasty shit.
They also spawn in such weird places. I was hiking Mt chiliad when a cougar attacked me, so I pulled my gun out and shot it. No more than 5 seconds pass and I'm 2 stars level wanted.

Cops like to mess with you.
They look for an excuse to pull you over.
    Or, they just follow you.
If you are guilty, or get stressed over it.
    They have probable cause.
Just chill, if anything go 5kph under the limit.
They'll get bored and move on.
They are just fishing, that's all.
Shitheads, but. That's what they do.

Basically. Just ask them what crime you've committed and move on.

Know your rights in whatever country you live in.

      • Yeah I wanted to pull over and see if they stopped. Although we'd done nothing wrong so was told there was no need to. True but still weird.

No, don't be a stupid asshole but use situational awareness and know your rights.

    Smoke.
    You're right in theory.
    But, cops aren't always nice.
    They love to ask questions.
They love to twist double speak.
You ask them questions, they see that as a challenge.
Bullies don't like a real challenge.
    Better be mighty careful.
They have weapons, they have back up, they won't get convicted for shooting you.
    Think about it.

In instances where the police are actually following you and stuff, then yeah, that's definitely normal to feel any number of a wide range of emotions.

If you felt like a criminal BEFORE, just being in the presence of police, then that might be OCD.

State your name when asked and hand over license and Insurance when asked. Don't say anything else.

If you get arrested, politely ask for a lawyer and don't say a word.

Cops will lie and skew anything you do or say so it's best not to give them anything other than what's required.

When I got a dui, the cop wrote I was confrontational and argumentative. The video showed I never said anything and even showed the cop thanking me for being cooperative.

It's not that they are bad cops. It's human nature and it's a rigged game.

I have the police coming after me because I am not the normal race in my country.
