It’s a fucking gross out of hand trend in music now.
But luckily it’s only overused in music that would be shitty regardless.
I feel the same way. I also do not understand why people who can actually sing use it (or at least process their songs to the point of it sounding like it). In the case of people who really can't sing and need it, why are they even professional singers in that case?
It definitely has a very artificial quality and sounds like crap, if you ask me. I also hate the really processed music I hear a lot on the radio these days. It just sounds like a bunch of noises jumbled together.
It depends how the auto tune is applied. Most of the time it's an artistic choice. However, when auto tune is not used in the right way it can sound jarring and contrived.
Seems like t pain started it. When t pain did it it was cool but then everyone started it
