I fucking hate tangled (disney)

Ever since that movie came out in 2010, I've considered it one of THE most fucked up Disney films that they've produced. It holds questionable morals, a weak plot, and extremely unrealistic scenes. Though it's mainly the morals I'm after.
Seriously, I'm not talking about all that become-an-independant woman bullshit, but rather the 'mothers are evil fuckers, so you should ditch them for hot criminal guys' thing. And it doesn't help that Mother Gothel is an obvious Jewish racial stereotype.
It would have been better if this movie were meant for adults, but this shit is aimed at little girls and young children!

I don't see how the mother is supposed to be jewish.

Personally I'm on the evil mother's side the movie just kinda ignores the fact that the king stole her magic flower, the thing that was keeping her alive.
She didn't wan't to kidnap Rapunzel she just wanted her flower back because without it she would die, she only kidnapped her because the magic had fused with her hair.

Seriously she's the victim of the movie in my opinion
She's portrayed as the evil mastermind but everything she did she did only out of self-preservation and even that was only necessary because of her magic flower's theft. .

Technically the flower was on the king's land, so when the witch (not-witch in this movie) hid it from the kingdom, she was effectively stealing it from the king. She was hording it from everyone else in the kingdom since that land was not on any claimed land.

You are also saying that anything is legal and justifiable as long as it works towards self-preservation. Technically, she was living on borrowed time, and didn't have any 'right' to continue living.

In the end, she is basically stealing life from Rapunzel (in a loose term type of way), to give to herself. If you think that is legal, then you are ok with doctors harvasting (stealing) stem cells from babies (killing them) in order to extend the lives of others.

The king didn't really steal it. Mother Gothel was hiding it. But that doesn't mean she owned it. In the original story she was an evil witch who came upon a man stealing vegetables from her garden. Rather then killing him she makes a deal. She wants his child. So there was a theft. Its just, the compensation she demanded was unbalanced.
