I get a random erection after petting cats/dogs...?

Before you think I'm some sort of freak: I have no, nor have I ever had sexual attraction to animals, trust me.
However, I've noticed that whenever a cat or a dog is in my lap, I get an erection. I can kind of understand that, but whenever I pet my cat and he starts purring, I get a random and uncalled for erection. It used to happen with dogs too, but not so much anymore. This also happens when my cat rubs against my legs. I have no sexual attraction to animals, so why does this happen? This only happens when I make physical contact with my cat or sometimes a dog. Other than that, I NEVER get an erection from animals.

    its just your body reacting to pressure. unless your a quadropalegic you get reaction from touching it means nothing

    Its the warmth and vibration of the cats purring that causes the erection it like a vibrator

    This is totally normal. I don't get turned on or anything from cats or dogs but cute pets make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. They're just so adorable that I could die ;3 So you feel like this emotional connection of wanting to care for them and be cute and cuddle them. And I am a man! I don't know maybe I'm just weird but I do sometimes get boners from killing random people in GTA lol.

    I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's probably because you're not used to physical intimacy so any kind sets you off. That's just my two cents, though.

    Happens all the time with me, but it's not a sexual thing its just that they make you feel happy when you pet them.
