I got a kitty today! My taxes came back!

His name was frog at the shelter. He's six years old. He has feline leukemia, but it just means I need to watch after him and take him to the vet a little more often.

I walked through the shelter and right away he noticed me. He started rubbing his head on the carpet and looked really playful

I almost went for this equally affectionate but not quite as interactive kitty because I wasn't sure how I felt about the leukemia. She was a sweet cat, a rare cat too since she was orange (most orange kitties are male) but she was too much like a lap cat and not like a cat cat. She'll definitely find a good home. I'm kinda proud I was able to pet her out of her cage though

But my kitty, I can give him a good home. I started to feel bad because I didn't even pet him and I felt like that was me I was giving up on and turning away from.

He was a stray and his right eye looks a little weird, but I don't care. He's super sweet and playful and chill. I just woke up from a mini nap and his paw was right next to me, I scratched right above my ears by rubbing on his little toesies and it felt so good and I was filled with so much love

But onto important business! I need a name, a grand name for him!

At first I was thinking Oreo, but I don't think that'll stick

I kinda wanna name him after something like astrological or spiritual, maybe like a famous warrior with a damaged eye

Or something with a nice sound to it, but I want it to have roots I like

I kinda want to name him like macchiato or something coffee related, but I'm not so sure

I've got more videos on that youtube if you wanna look. I don't have many pictures or videos but I can always take more

    I would just name him Mr. Wonkeye, or onebigeyeonesmalleye, or Capt Jack, or ONE EYED WILLIE (from the goonies)

    Anyways YAY. I hope he loves pen snake forever. That cat is in for some happy times.

      Okay, so, I'm lying in bed and he's on top of the blanket on my legs purring like non stop and cuddling so hardcore. It's like a fountain of dopamine

      It would be so much fun calling him Mad Eye Moody, just gotta keep them lacewing flies locked up 🦟🔐

      I could call him Jack Sparrow, he has these like slow, careful, controlled ambulatory moves, kinda like Jack's drunk walk

      I wanna get him bulked up a little, he looks a little too lean. I'm thinking about getting some like gourmet wet food from the pet store, that should be nice on his teeth too. He has gingivitis, I need to find a vet for him soon.

      What other names ya got? I wanna see if you can tempt me out of Mergoat~

        Also get a vet plan. They have monthly payment plans at big vet clinics. Like $10 a month, but it covers dental/vax/emerge. It's always worth it.

        I'd name it no good monocle or my minion. This is really a lost cause here, but you got purr legs, that's the most important thing

        Dry food is what you want if the kitty has gingivitis, not wet food. That's bad for the kitty chomps. Wet food should really be a treat, but I give my cat as much as she wants lol

        & cats tend to get dehydrated if you keep the water and the food in the same place. In the wild, they refuse water near food because it's contaminated with their kills (serious wild cat shit).

        If you want mer-goat do it!!!! He's your man. I'm a capricorn who's obsessed with the sea, so I getcha. Omg maybe I'm your cat posting online...

        My cat is named goobler. Not the turkey noise, long o, like the actor from criminal minds

    I got a kitty in 2019 3 days after my first kat died.

    She was 1 at the time and was (still is) the biggest attention whore cat I know. Im still not used to her having claws, but yay for kat rightfully keeping her murder mittens.

    I just thought that Mergoat might be a good name

    A pseudonym for the capricorn's goat with a fish tail. Legend has it that the goat adapted a fish tail in order to make an escape. In this culture water also represents emotions, a quaint juxtaposition to the sturdy, stoic goat atop the mountain enshrouded in snowy wind

    Ok because of the eye I thought of a few names like Pleakly, Nick Fury, Evil Morty, and Mike Wazowski. Then some astrological names like Cosmo, Atom, Kelvin, Mars, Pluto, Titan, Sputnik, and Neptune

    Aww, congratulations! ❤ What a sweet and adorable kitty! 😻 I wish I could help with names, but I'm not the most creative when it comes to those! I usually name my pets after physical or personality traits, and one just "comes" to me after awhile (though all of mine answer to "kitty" more than anything, lol!).
