I hate being ignored by people who are texting!

Sometimes when I am trying to talk to my friend about something and I will only get half of their attention because they are simultaneously text messaging somebody else. Sometimes I am jealous because I'm not sending or receiving any texts but I'm usually annoyed. I mean how are you supposed to bond with people when they obviously have better people to talk to? When I hang out with my one friend I get so confused. Why does she bother coming over if all she's going to do is text message? I tell her all the time how annoying it is but she says that everybody does it. She isn't entirely wrong either because a lot of people do this and I hate being ignored because the person I am talking to is sending somebody else a text.

    When she has no one to talk to she'll comeback to you , but ignore her when she does that happened to me

    i text often, but hate it when other people are texting. i think that makes me a huge hypocrite.

    No It isn't normal, people cannot carry on a conversation with each other, a transaction at a grocery store without a cell phone. They have even cell phone itis. You ask them a (Simple) question and they look at you for 2 seconds before responding, yes very irritating..

    Yeah, I get that too. I was trying to talk to my friend on a car ride to someplace and she didn't really respond too much until we were actually there. I believe she was texting her boyfriend, so I wasn't THAT annoyed.

    This is really annoying. My friend does it and I used to find people to text whenever we hung out because she wasn't paying much attention to me, but now I'm ignoring my phone when with her.

    You are young and/or hang out with rude people. I cant imagine an adult with basic manners would do this to you. Get some new friends.

    That's so rude tell her to stop. Grab the phone away from her, that's what I did and the friends of mine that where texting got the point.

    Haha Im the one who ignores the people talking while I'm testing lol but I can't it I'm not a multi tasking but it is disrespectful so I try not to do it that much
