I hate grammar hypocrites

I know nobody else really cares and this probably isn't going to be normal, but when I see these grammar hypocrites with atrocious grammar whom claim to be grammar Nazis, I wish harm upon them. Being an actual grammar Nazi, I just feel rage burning inside me and this is not rational anger. The anger I feel is deep and burns stronger than fifty suns. I get in text fights and arguments over this all the time.

It's just pure stupidity to correct someone's grammar using incorrect grammar. Did these people fall out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down?

What really makes me furious is they're attempting to be assholes. For most of them, that is their intention. They want to humiliate whomever they are correcting, but instead seem to humiliate themselves. Sometimes, another idiot agrees with them. When I see that, I feel as if humanity has fallen.

Is it normal to feel this angry about it?

Yes, I understand what you mean OP, and I dont see anything wrong with wanting proper structure. I think some people just have a Superiority complex and low self esteem and its the only way they can feed their ego. So instead of complaining about something that matters they attack something as tiny as spelling and grammar.

I think they are helpful when people want to learn better grammar and spelling and simply dont see what they are doing wrong. I also understand sometimes people screw up posts because of auto-correct and those sort of things but people still get upset about it. Which I find kind of stupid.

I see so much of that on Facebook. Once I saw a girl post a status that said, "Get educated everyone! Go outside and read a book!!!"
Just a few minutes later, she posts this, "Goin out with my friendz, gonna get wasted!!!!

No, it's not normal. What I hate is people who complain about grammar Nazis in posts full of grammatical errors!

My favorite was when someone made a mistake and someone corrected them on it while making a mistake in their own post - and I corrected them on that, adding, "Don't correct someone's grammar if yours is just as bad." Their reply was, "Psh - your's*" *Facepalm* The worst part was when I told them to go look up 'your's' and they refused to admit that they had been making things up just to have something to call me out on.

It's normal to be angry about it, although you just know most people responding to this are going to be searching your post for grammatical errors. I don't think I've ever seen a post here about grammar where someone didn't do that, as opposed to answering the question that was asked.

    You missed a comma.

I don't see what you see. I don't doubt you had a reason for saying that, but commas aren't crucial unless they actually change the meaning of what you're saying, and I don't see any instances of that.
