omg im soo sick of girls paying themselves out!
i mean even my girlfriend thinks herself ugly,but shes soooo beutiful. shes always saying things like "your too good for me" and "why would you even like me?".
its really frustrating!!!!!
I tend to think everyone has thought that about themselves. I know im not perfect and id surely question why a guy would pick me. If they thought it was annoying, as you do, id want them to tell me so i can stop..
The last thing i wanna be is annoying. :/
I'm the same way. No matter how many compliments I get each day, my mind keeps telling me I'm ugly. I can't help it, and sometimes I just say it out loud to get my feelings out. I don't care if someone says "Oh, shut up, you're gorgeous!" I'll still feel ugly. I always feel like people are looking for compliments when they say things like that except me. I don't care what their response is when I say I'm ugly. Sometimes people get annoyed and just say, "Yeah, you are." I just don't give a damn.
i think im good looking but i dont think that other people feel that way about me, sometimes if im curious about how they feel ill say somthing stupid like i think im ugly just to haer their opinion obviously i dont expect them to tell me i'm ugly but some times the way they word the responce can let you know how they really feel like "ohh no your not that bad" means ya ur butt ugly but if they say "give it up your gorgous" its a total confidence boost. sometimes a girl just needs to hear shes pretty cause most girls even if they think they are dont beleive you do too
Have you EVER looked at pictures of what guys consider to be hot these days? It's enough to make a beautiful girl cry. We don't think that we can ever live up to that. Just let her know that you think she's more beautiful that all of those girls, but it's not attractive when she says that stuff about herself. Maybe she'll give it a second thought.
As a male, I have to agree with you. However, is it really what guys like, or is it what the media makes you believe guys like? Just because a particular-looking woman appears in a skin magazine doesn't mean that most guys will find her attractive. As far as not being as attractive as supermodels goes, well.. yeah, you may not be. The difference is, your girl is YOUR girl, and that makes her more attractive than anyone else, or at least that's the way it works for me.
Do you wanna know why girls feel that way? cos guys always chose the pretty girl, they never wanna get to know a girl. They want the ones with the nicest bodies, again, never wanna get to kno a girl.

I hate girls like that. I call them Fishers. Because to me they're just fishing for compliments. They'll say "omigosh I'm so fat," just so people will say, "what?! Dude you're like so skinny and pretty!" When my skinny friends say that I'm like, "yeah dude you're totally fat. What happened to you?" That shuts them up. Of course there are those who really do have low self esteem. I don't pick on those girls. But usually you can tell the difference.

its because girls get judged so harshly, I should know, I'm a girl and think the same thing.
YOU may know she isn't but people now days, especially other guys judge girls on their looks so they start believing that they're ugly. Try to let her know that she isn't.
I knoe some of the prettiest girls, & guys go crazy over them, & yes the girl loves the attention, loves dressing up & loves staring at her self in the mirror. But she will constantly say negative things, that i do not understand at all. Normally a girl just say shes ugly for you to tell her shes not, but if shes doing this stilll then its a problem. You need to tell her shes pretty randomly, not when she says "im uglyyy" tell her when you first see her, or just tell her something sweet. Dont say the same thing every day because its hard to believe something that is overly said it starts to sound fake, even when its not. Your girlfriend might just be unhappy about something, & hearing you compliment her looks maybe it makes her feel better. & saying she doesnt deserve you idk why shed say that, either to make you feel better, or maybe shes hiding something. i honestly couldnt tell you exactly thats just my thoughts.

and my first boyfriend lied about having lung cancer, and he always told me how pretty i was

to be honest (im not sexist before you complain) its because shes a women, everywomen in the world doubts themselves in too many ways to count, i dont know a single women without self doubt and it winds me up too, just be brutal about it and tell them they are absolutely stunning and dont let them deny it

alllllright, now i gotta say something! i NEVER used to think i was ugly, and NEVER "begged" for compliments. i'm bigger than "media size", but i got nice uh, parts, blah blah. then...WHAM! i fall for a trainwreck of a guy. he's history now, but it took him a loooong time (my fault for sticking around)to get off the internet porn (no cheap shots about me not giving it up, i'm not shy) to tell me "you're beautiful...to me". now i find myself so insecure i'm terrified to talk to guys again! take a step back and give the girl a break. is she truly, deeply, insecure, is she digging for comments, is she obsessed with the media, or does she just want the guy she digs to make her smile?
In our ass-backward society a woman isn't considered "attractive" unless she conforms perfectly to a computer-enhanced stereotype of feminine sexuality that has visually and subliminally bombarded her 500 times a day ever since she was barely able to say 'mommy' and stand upright. What else do you expect her to think? "I'm beautiful just the way I am?"

The other day I had an emotional breakdown infront of my boyfriend and ended up telling him why I was depressed, sometmes it feels like life isn't going anywhere so it makes you feel worthless I guess. He just told me I was silly because I was intelligent, pretty and can go far etc, but it didn't make the situation any better. There could be a reason she doesn't feel pretty and I hope she can find it and turn it around because many pretty girls don't feel they are because of maybe experience or home life

well I think some girls say that for attention and know that they are not ugly really, they just want you to tell them how pretty they are. OR they have self-esteem issues

Girl's compare themselves to other girls. We find out who is better at one thing and say "She's got a flatter stomach" "She's got that amazing rack and i'm so flat chested" "She has great hair" And then this snowballs into the idea that all the other girls are better. Also we see a girl who looks perfect but she can be anything. She can be a bitch, or talk funny, or not into guys we're into, or not as talented, or she could be absolutely perfect and still think we're cool ourselves. We assume we're in competition with ever girl we see, from school to work to magazines to just on the street. And that's an easier battle to lose than to win.

Thats a problem she has to work out herself. Also, take a look at the friends she's listening to. Chances are, they're probably even worse when it comes to their bodies.
But honestly, since the beginning of time, women have always been self conscious about their bodies. Even before the media, even before celebrites, women have always felt insecure about their bodies in one way or another because they're so used to having strange men stare at them all the time. Eliminate the strange men and the bad friends, and you've got a girl who has nothing to worry about.
Get another girlfriend. I don't care about what I look like, or what other people think about my body, that's stupid. I cover myself for moral reasons, but I actually like looking in the mirror at myself.
I hate it when they actually aren't ugly. As a true ugly woman myself, it's frustrating to see these gorgeous women insulting themselves. This one girl I know models, and yet she constantly calls herself ugly.

I don't think it's normal. First of all ever heard of "Being insecure". Second they may just being saying it to hear other people say that there not and that there pretty etc. Besides people come to the the conclusion it's all about looks Yeah i bet that fine girl is doing your best friend. wow. a year and 7 months later and people are still talking about this. well heres what ended up happening with the girl in this story. she lied to me throughout the entire relationsgip about afew things. then she hacked my msn facebook and myspace. and insulted myfriends and herself, so i didnt think it was her who did it. then she lied about it. but i found out. and she admitided it after a while. we broke up after 2 years.

Well, some girls want some attention once in a while or more. But girls are really sensitive to their looks so I guess it would be normal for them to feel insecure at times, they have a curiosity to know why you think of them.
She does it because she does not like herself and she is always making herself less than the other people! U need to tell her that u will always think that she is the most beautiful girl in the world cause she cannot discover this true by herself! XDXDXD

Im a chick so i would know..all my life my friends were mostly guys so i know what men dislike and like..my guy friends complain to me about their girlfriends about this all the time its annoying i know but maybe theyre just insecure..low self esteem..instead of saying 'you are pretty' or 'stop annoying me with this' talk to her..in a sweet way ofcourse and buy her chocolates when you talk to her and while she listens she'll eat it it releases endorphines it'll make her happy =)
Ugh gross, a friend who needs constant reassurance. how annoying. You need to tell her that you can't constantly be reassuring her of her outward beauty. that she needs to start doing that herself before getting on your nerves making you do it for her.
look in the mirror every morning, tell youself how beautiful you are and how you are worthy.

Sometimes, when a girl says those things, she just wants to be reassured that you love her and you think she's beautiful.
Unless we are unfortunatley unattractive it's either a) we want you to tell us how beautiful you think we are to be all 'yey' b) we just want a bit of reassurance on what we are wearing/doing etc. or c) it's our time of the month and we feel as fat as an elephant and as like we fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. So if you know which one of these it is you can just tell her she's beautiful and that you won't here anymore of it! :)
I am so sick of this. I know so many girls like this, they always say they're ugly, or fat, or stupid, or something that sometimes is true. Then, somebody who is way too polite to say "You're right", says "That's not true, you're gorgeous/sexy/brilliant!" They always fish for compliments. It's so annoying. I sometimes even say "Yes, you're right. But you've got a leg up because you KNOW you're ugly/fat/stupid, so you can fix the problem!" That makes them flip out.
Tell her shes beautiful and that she is really worth it. Tell her your not to good for her and that you are here for her and only her. Tell her that you love her no matter what she thinks. And tell her that you will always be there for her and that she is the most wonderful person in the world.

I understand where this girl is coming from. I think i am butt ass ugly but my friends say I am not. When i hear this I end up thinking it is a lie. Girls think this way is because people have told them that this girl is hot and you are just pretty. This is just a nicer way of telling a girl she is ugly. This happens to me all the time. Once a girl hears this so many times she starts to believe it. It don't help that society shows that woman have to be a certain way to attract a man.
