I hate people who never stop smiling?!

I don't mind REAL smiles, or smiling for a camera or saying hello. I'm talking specifically about those creepy bastards who have a permanent smile glued on their face, even when they're talking, and even when they claim to be upset.

These people are annoying at best. Often they give me the goddam chills. Either way I have to avoid eye contact with them because otherwise I have a very strong urge to punch them or swing a blunt object into their mouth, or scream "KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE RAPE FACE YOU WEIRD BASTARD!"

The WORST is the ones whose smiling mouth also never closes. They say something and then just let their mouth hang open there, in a slack smile.

Does this kind of thing piss off or creep out anyone else?

I smile more than usual, and even I find that creepy as fuck

I smile and laugh a lot. I'll be angry or nervous and still smiling (depending on the situation). I just can't help it. People usually don't take me seriously because of this, but I can see how it can get annoying.

but you can smile and laugh a lot and still have people take you seriously. the secret ingredient is a psychopath stare ಠ˾ಠ

They might take me a little too seriously then. Like, slow-torturous-murder serious. But I might as well add some heavy breathing in there just to make sure they get the message.

hey at least one perk of being taken too seriously is that no stranger will dare to mess with you

heavy breathing? pls make it batman-like? now I'm wondering if there's a chick in the world who has a batvoice :o

I will try, but I might break my vocal chords along the way. Whoever this batman girl is, she is your soulmate. Drop everything and go build a little cottage on a hillside in Gotham City. Live happily ever after.

I think female vocal chords are a lot tighter/smaller than male. So a batvoice on a chick might sound like a helium voice *shudder* and here you are pushing me to settle down with such a person. last time I come to you for rship advice :|

You know I feel like we're two shameless hobos who will set up their conversational camp on any and every post. Shame on you

I like how you put "KNOCK IT OFF WITH THE RAPE FACE YOU WEIRD BASTARD!" in there, right after the rape-victim post. Good job.

      Wait, what?

I don't know what "rape victim" post you are talking about. I will reply to you with my username showing, so you can see whether or not you mistook me for someone else.

So it's my fault for....not...checking the front page regularly? Sorry, I guess I'm not a die-hard "Is It Normal" follower.

No no no no no no no no not at all. It's no one's fault, I just didn't reallize people got different stories on their front page and I thought you were being insensitive.

Not on my front page: the following post is an extremely thought provoking intellectual question about someone's scalp moving when he/she raises eyebrows

I can't see any "rape victim" post anywhere

Do people have different front pages? If so then I apologize because there's no way you could have known, OP.

I understand it can be creepy or annoying. I smile when I'm nervous or overwhelmed to hide my anxiety; I also laugh. I know it's probably obnoxious and people are like "what the fuck is wrong with you" but some of us can't help it. It's a coping mechanism.

You nailed this one right on the head. I've been smiling since Friday around others in an attempt to cope with having my heart broken. I'm pretty sure I've thoroughly creeped out my family by doing it though.
      XD
