I hate texting

I never got into texting and I rarely do it, basically only if the other person has no more talk minutes left and they have to text. I think its a big waste of time and it often causes miscommunication. I almost never text. Id just rather talk! Anybody else?

I hate texting as well but that's all my friends do. In the past my ex would text me and I wouldn't check my phone for hours so he would assume I was ignoring him. It's so much easier to just talk on the phone or meet in person.

P.S. not saying 30's is old... it's just older than me.

i do it but im extremely specific and detailed i take the entire conversation and cram it it into one long message. i hate phones in general though and i find that the quickest way to communicate is to send one huge text. i get so paranoid when i talk on the phone i feel like every one could hear me and is listing. like i said i hate phones i cant understand how people talk on the phone for hours on end or send hundreds of texts everyday i like it quick and to the point

When I still had a cell phone, I only texted. I hate actually making or receiving a call. I miss words when I'm talking to people and any blip in the connection just makes it worse. I have to have people repeat themselves so often, everyone assumes that I don't pay attention. I am (self-diagnosed) OCD and ADD and miss half of what people say, but can't stand missing that half. I'm so weird. lol

If you are in the older generations ex. 30's and above yes it's normal. If you are in your 20's or below your opinions on texting are practically unheard of... until now.

I just missed the whole texting generation. But I know people in their 50s-60s who are obsessed with texting.

It's not normal, but it's not... not normal. I never even got into cell phones or social networking.

I hate texting too! It's much better to call the person and have a real conversation. Texting is also making people having f***ing bad grammar!

Texters are mostly under 40. Get over your old fashioned ways and join the 21st century.

Not only have I not ever sent (or composed) a text, I have the feature turned off so no one can text me. I'm with you, pal, I've a phone to talk to someone, not play games, go on the internet, navigate, text, twizzle, twewrit, twitch or peep.
    Bah humbug.
