I think that all the Big Brother reality game shows are lame. They're places for pointless social misfits to compete, if you can call it that, in idleness. They sit around in what is called the Big Brother House just scratching in their pants and rearranging their bits and hoping that, from this, they will gain some celebrity. The whole business is embarrassing and silly, because this isn’t dumbed down television: dumbed down TV needs to bend over and extend a telescope to see Big Brother.

    Yeah all of those things are pointless and the sort of people who applies for them are lowlifes who thrive on attention even if it's negative attention, so pretty much narcissists. I can sort of see the appeal in watching to laugh at them but the majority of the time it's not even funny, the contenstants just sit around doing nothing or talk a bunch of boring crap.

    Never watched big brother. But I am a sucker for reality tv. The first few seasons of jersey shore is fucking gold. And bad girls club was my shit!

    I think I watched a few episodes of the first UK series back in 2000 before I decided it was a load of crap. I think that sort of show appeals to two main groups: those who don't have much interesting going on in their life so they enjoy the synthetic drama of soap operas, and those who feel better about themselves when they watch idiots doing idiotic things, shouting at each other and trying to get in each other's pants.

    The idea that shows such as Big Brother are any sort of reality is rubbish. The people taking part aren't a random cross-section of a country's population, but a self-selected bunch of fame-hounds. From that pool of shallow, vain, insecure non-entities, the producers select a combination of people whose personalities are guaranteed to clash, and then they manipulate the house-members into conflicting.

    Putting a bunch of ordinary, sane, sensible people into the house and setting them tasks could be an interesting experiment in psychology and sociology, but it would be damned boring TV.

    Voyeurhouse.tv is much better to watch. It's basically Big Brother but everyone's naked/fucking.

    its a guilty pleasure and i git to laugh at the big deal they make outta the kinda shit i fix every day

    seems like nobody ever hits the humungo lottery super gold stash they all either lose money or at best cover operain costs and employee salary
