I hate the sound and sight of people chewing
Ever since I was a kid I've always been irrationally annoyed by the sounds of people chewing. I generally try to worm my way out of eating in groups of people (just going for a quick cigarette, I'll be back by the time you've all finished eating) and if I'm watching a TV show or movie and there's a scene where people are eating I get really annoyed.
I either have to mute the TV or skip the scene and I'm left wondering what I missed that was so important to the story that they had to eat over it, and why exactly was it so important for the story development that they be eating in this scene?
Considering that almost all movie and show scenes where a character is eating they rarely actually swallow any food (they have to take multiple cuts of scenes, so actors usually just spit out the food they're eating on screen when the camera changes) it just seems ridiculously pointless on all levels to even have eating scenes in any TV or movie.
