I'm not contributing anything amazing to this world. All I do is work my ass off so I can pay the bills and keep a roof over my head. This will continue forever till I'm dead or incapable of working. Im 21 and I feel there's no meaning to life. IIN?
Lower your standard of living. Use the money you save on high quality recreation. Improve your level of education for the long run.
It doesn't have to improve life. Life is a game. Some people play it better than others. Adventure is only one of the many benefits that is attainable.
Btw, I enjoy your comments but sometimes wonder if you have ever experienced intrinsic motivation (other than sex).
I keep thinking that everyone can find a job that they love and excel at and that brings them alive. Makes them smile when they wake up in the morning - knowing they have a purpose for the day. And at the end of the day, they can feel satisfied and fulfilled for a job well done.
I've tried so many jobs and they all leave me feeling empty and unhappy. I can relate so much to what you're saying. Maybe you can never enjoy work and life in general until you deal with these underlying issues - it may be a feeling of emptiness, depression, anxiety, feeling worthless, not good enough...
Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed. I agree being an adult isn't a picnic. I would go back to being a kid again . but try to find a hobby or something that makes you excited and look forward to it.
Sounds like a normal life to me. Try living an extraordinary life instead, it's more fun.
Yes this is mostly what life is about :) It is intrinsically meaningless.
HOWEVER, you have free will and you can fill it up with fun. THEN it begins to be good! ;)
