It's messed up to people from western cultures, but in Mexico it's a pretty normal thing I hear, it's just socially accepted as part of Mexico's culture according to my friend. I have a friend who lived in Mexico when he was working for a Fortune 500 company that did business all around the world, and donkey shows are just an everyday type of thing down there he said.
