I'm getting 9 cavities filled later today and I'm not prepared for it. Because A) I'm afraid of needles (they'll drug me with painkillers. WITH A FUCKING NEEDLE.), B) I don't trust any kind of doctor (they said I'll be okay. Bullshit.) and C) I'm not good with painkillers.
Well, I'm sure I can be lax in my own ways, but the truth is that we only get one set of adult teeth.
I dont like needles either but it's only temporary pain. I'm sure the cavities are much more annoying.
I have always had a phobia of the dentist,it freaks me out, I can't stand it.
Tell the dentist you're nervous about the procedure and they'll probably give you nitrous oxide to take the edge off and zone you out.
If I were in your shoe, I'd get someone to drive me to the appointment, ask the dentist for some Valium, bring my cell phone and headphones and ask for lots of laughing gas. If the dentist doesn't turn it up enough I just start talking nervously because that will get the dentist to turn it up all the way. Try to make a day of it.
Nine is really a lot though, and ideally I would think they wouldn't do it all in one go. I just want to say that laughing gas makes things better.
I think he is being sarcastic. Try to brush your teeth twice a day everyday, and be sure to floss as well.
I don't floss enough myself, but believe me it is necessary.
