I have a fear of driving onto or walking up into a large body of water

I have a fear of large bodies of water, I think. It may be normal. But, I got lost one day and as I turned a curve I suddenly saw this large body of water and I was close to driving into it. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. Now, I am afraid of that happening again all the time when I'm driving and can't see what's around the corner or down the hill and that I'll drive into some water or even up on some water and I will have a heart attack. Just the thought of it makes my heart skip a beat and a slight pain in my chest. IIN?

    It's quite normal for humans to have phobias, however since driving tends to be and integral part of adult life, maybe you should consider talking to a professional about your fear. I suggest psychoanalytical to figure out the root of your aversion.

    I'm 100% opposite. I LOVE large bodies of water! When I went to Florida and went across a bridge surrounded my the ocean I was beaming with happiness! I love it more than anything in the world!

    I grew up like these. I've had traumatic "drowning experiences" some years back. Since then I never gave a f*** about learning how to swim or enjoying the beach/pool with my friends and family.

    I even hate large bodies of water. Seriously. I thought about nuking the sea someday. HAHAHAHA :D

    I would be scared too. Ever since I got in this big car accident A few years ago I haven't driven. I feel for you.

    Just drive around wearing floaties on with trusty pool noodles riding shotgun. Day saved, im going on break.

    no it's not normal whats the watter gonna do? Eat you? NO there's nothing to fear except fear itself (and the ocasional shark)
