I have dreams about pets constantly appearing

So, to start off, I'll say what has caused all of these dreams. I had a snake when I was in fifth grade and she escaped and we never found her and I was traumatized forever. We bought 4 other snakes and we had them for a while before re-homing them.
After my first snake escaped I had a dream that we'd found her, then after a little while I had a dream that she had babies. I was scared because I had too many to take care of and too many pets to love. I continued having dreams where more and more pets would show up, and that I had to take care of them all. (EX: a snake would come out from under the bedding for the snakes) These dreams escalated after we got the other snales. However, after we rehomed the other snakes, the dreams went away.
I have had hamsters for about 2-3 years and I had these dreams start again after my first hamster died. Up until about a year ago I had those dreams a lot. Now not so much, mainly because I'm on good meds for my anxiety and depression. Is this normal?

    Pets are not a good thing for you. I suggest you find a hobby.
