I have to pick at things on skin

I feel that I need to (and really enjoy) picking at any eaised bump on my body, especially on my face and head. I will mercilessly pick at: zits/bumps, dry skin, dandruff, sunburn, even just raised bumps, and scabs (not big ones and not before they're done healing). It also bothers me when my fiance has bumps that he hasn't "taken care of". Normal or psycho??

I pick the itch bumps off my husband's back. And I also keep picking at a scratch I have on my ass. It helps relieve tension.

I do the same thing, if I feel just a small bump or something on my upper arm, or shoulder, I will scratch at it until it's gone, the fact that a part of my skin is more raised than around it makes me absolutely bonkers. I do the same with my face, I don't get pimples/zits, but if I get a bump or something, I'll scratch at it.

Tweakers like to pick at their skin.

But seriously, maybe it's some sort of OCD thing.

Relatively normal but not healthy. I have a similar problem, arising from boredom and the baleful effects of stimulant medication. I avoid the temptation by wearing gloves. No nails, no problem.
