I only really care if a family member/friend gets hurt.
But for other animals, i care when ANY get hurt. Because its mainly from selfish humans.

O think there's something normal to it. I think that you probably do care if people suffer, but I'm much like you. I hurt in a way that I don't when it comes to animals. I don't know how old you are, but the way you feel isn't normal. One thing you need to realize is that if you don't care about others (by others, I mean people), they aren't going to care about you. It's fine to love and care about animals, but if you are sick or injured, you're going to have to depend on people--those beings you don't care about--because animals aren't going to help you.
