Simple logic.

If all muslims were "terrorist" wouldn't all non muslims be dead.
If they were all suicide bombers then everyone of them would blow themselves up and kill everyone. Look around how many muslims do you think are living in your street.

So it's not okay to kill other muslims, but it is okay for them to kill or lie to any non-Muslim? That is my understanding. I guess the difference between your garden variety Christian and your garden variety muslim is that Christians will flat out refute, rebel against, and disown or ex-communicate any "Christian" out there promoting or doing violence toward others, but a Muslim walking around really doesn't say or do anything about violent Muslims taking their beliefs to these nutty extremes? I don't know any "Christian" who actually supports or says anything good about those nutters in the Westboro Baptist Church cult. And no real Christian would advocate murdering homosexuals, promiscuous people, women who've had an abortion, executing anyone on death row, because from a Christian perspective, the goal is salvation for everyone. No one is excluded from that gift. If you kill any of these people, you've taken away their chance to "come to the light" so to speak. I'm not advocating any religion. These are just my understanding of the beliefs.

Islam has done a terrible job of policing its own, in my opinion. Disavow the criminals. If you don't take a stand against them, you are WITH THEM.

And don't start with the whole "Crusades" thing ... that was a thousand years ago or more, not last week.

I think all religion is total nonsense.
Islam is on top of the nonsense list right now but most other religions have had their turn.
Religious whackos should get a grip on reality but that isn't going to happen.

I'm not Muslim, but I've known a few. The following comes from numerous discussions I've had with them over the years, and I apologise if I've "misunderstood" anything.

According to the teachings of Islam it is apparently okay to kill/enslave non-Muslims who have not paid some sort of "payment" (a bit like a tax - can't remember it's exact name) to be allowed to live. This only applies to "people of a book" - I.e. Those who have a religious text - Like Jews, Christians, etc. Athiests can't pay to live.

Some Muslims have used the teachings of old Muslim scholars to extended this further, deeming different "sects" within Islam as being not "true" Muslims, and hence can be killed - hence the Suni/Shite conflicts. Oddly perhaps, it seems that while "not true" Muslims can be killed, you can't enslave them (no idea why).

Most "Western" Muslims are against the whole terrorist bullshit. That being said, it is as easy for a charismatic extremist Muslim leader to "bend" the teachings of Islam as it is for a charismatic extremist Christian leader to "bend" the teachings of the Bible. The difference being that the various Hadith (non-Quran holy books) are in many places contradictory - allowing a greater interpretation of Islamic Law.

That's my take on it anyway, for what it's worth. More than happy to have a Muslim correct any inaccuracies.

I think we need to let as many muslims migrate to our country as possible. Our military needs to embrace islam.
