Had never watched My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic until last night!! It worked out just fine!!

I'm watching American Horror Story now, though. And for that I need no ponies!!! :P

Haha, even better that this was you :)

I've heard that MLP is a good show. I've never really watched American Horror story though, but I heard it's good too.

I wouldn't say MLP is actually good, but it was pretty darn cute! AHS is not for everyone... the good news is that if you want to give it a try you can watch just one season since it's an anthology series.

Ah yes, saw that in theaters against my will years ago with my brother and cousin. My brother and I drove home both so freaked out that there was something outside. I think we stopped at the store on the way home just to take our minds off it.

I find my little pony much scarier. Anthropomorphic ponies!!!

Sinister was creepy though...that soundtrack! Shame the ending sucked.

COUNTESS D!!!!, my long lost friend. What a fucking relief. I thought you got lost wandering in the Australian outback to never be seen again. I have missed you since the day you left. We have had a shortage of high IQ participants for over year. Your subtle insightfulness, and mastery of conceptual reasoning have been sorely missed. Please accept my sincerest welcome back to your old on-line home. Let me know if there's anything you need.

Thankfully, Udi mercifully added a ban feature to the software. When it was working, first thing I did was to become invisible to poor old Mel. Soon, her other objects of hostility did the same. After about a month, Mel actually seemed to be in good spirits, and talks almost exclusively to other women. I love happy endings, especially when the computers do the heavy lifting.

Glad you're enjoying Australia. I loved it down there when I lived in Canberra long ago. So are you close to the ocean?

I'm about 15 k (trying to embrace the metric system) from the nearest beach, but it's swampy mangroves, beautiful, but not great for swimming. I'm a short drive from some beautiful beaches though.

Interesting. The whole format of the site looks a bit different.

Don't forget scuba diving on the Barrier Reef, and fly fishing in Tasmania.

This book is an excellent guide to the country. My copy got used extensively when I was there. https://www.amazon.com.au/Explore-Australia-2019/dp/1741175682/ref=sr_1_1

The bullshit that arsehole leaks is fascinating...

How he genuinely believes it, I'll never know.

Hahaha I loved the ponies coming up with the idea of secret Santa so they didn't have to get each other presents!! lol

I'd been watching tons of horror movies trying to find a really good one to show our students on a fright night yesterday and that was the only one that really scared me. Not only the music but the quirky camerawork!! I'm wondering what part of the ending you thought sucked? I wasn't so disappointed.

See! You can't trust those shifty ponies...

I did think sinister was great, SPOILERS AHEAD, and i did like the twist ending that it was the kids, but i found the whole demon bit to be cheesy & it ruined my immersion a kittke. Still a great movie though.

If you haven't seen it yet, i just watched Hereditary. Not for everyone, but i thought it was amazing. Haven't been so scared since i watched chucky as a youngster!

YO! Seriously? My coworker sharing the choosing duties with me watched that one and didn't like it, so I just took her word for it and skipped. Guess I'll give it a chance then! :)

Chucky was indeed terrifying as a kid! Haha

Yeah, it's definitely not for everyone. I've spoken to people that absolutely hated it! I thought it was amazing though. Definitely a slow burn & fantastic acting.

You'll have to let me know what you think if you end up checking it out!

              *SPOILERS AHEAD*

Aww, I've got mixed feeling about this one and feel like a lousy Rotten Tomatoes critic wanting to write a review - although theirs were mainly positive, from what I saw. It's such a long film (attention span of a 5-year-old here!) and it takes soooo long to introduce the 'hereditary' aspect of it that it was frustrating. The overgrown, greasy-haired son, cast as a teenager (although he cries and drools pretty well all the way through!) didn't help, he looked college age and that was distracting. The daughter was really creepy but it seemed to me that the character was not explored enough. And the grandma wasn't properly introduced either.

Then other things did make it extremely interesting, like the family not talking about what happened for so long and the tension around that... Also Toni Collette's and Gabriel Byrne's acting! (I'm a fan!)

But then... the mother's work seemed like a knock-off of Synecdoche, New York (have you seen it?). And those naked people! I mean, WUT? Hahahahaha! It was cool to watch and I was in and out of the story, but it wasn't as scary as Sinister was! :D

Nor nearly as good as Get Out!!!

Sinister was boring. Sinister 2 was even more boring than the first.

Sinister 2 isn't even deserving of the same title.

They should have explained about origins of bughul or whatever its name was.

True, surely it would've made for a better screenplay.
