I keep spitting every seconds, is it normal?

Ok this just recently started happening to me and I don't know if I picked the right category. Recently I've been spitting saliva a lot because my mouth seems overproduce saliva now. Why is this? Is it normal? What should I do?

    My father's spit a lot but it is because he had some kind of disease which makes him having sputum all the time.

    It might be that you've mistaken sputum for saliva and you might want to see a doctor for this.

    I really don't think this is normal. Maybe see a doctor? IDK. Umm??? I've never experienced this. So maybe some other people will comment and help out.
