I can't resist. I pick up my cat and give him about 20 kisses on the lips before I let him go. I don't think he likes it much but 1) he's a cat, who cares about his opinion? 2) he's MY cat and I can do with him as I please 3) I have no control over myself when it comes to kissing cats on the lips. I can't let him go until I am done with the kissing. If he wriggles away before I am done my whole day is ruined. It's like having blueballs except not in the balls. Brain blueballs. There's probably a sciency word for brain blueballs but I don't know it.

Then leave him be. Believe it or not, your cat is developing hatred towards you. It's one thing to pick him up and carry him around, but it's another thing when you either hug him or kiss him. Cats need to have personal space. Kissing him makes him perceive this act as an awkward situation. Also, being that close to his face is act of aggression, a quality found in a predator. Humans are very capable of inducing damage to their prey, so your cat is most likely scared of you, and possibly hates you.

  I don't think he hates me. He doesn't avoid me. He acts normal. Yeah he probably is freaked out when I get right in his face but it's a small price for him to pay for what he gets in return.
